Kim Ryan is the author and illustrator of the Elvina Wispwhistle series, a middle grade fantasy about a curious tooth fairy whose choices begin to disrupt magic. As Elvina works to set things right, she learns how belief and care shape the world around her.

The Elvina stories grew out of the small, imaginative moments she shared with her son. His ideas about the tooth fairy helped shape the world and its characters.

Kim is also a singer, and her background in music and visual storytelling carries into the way she builds her stories. She continues to develop the world of Elvina Wispwhistle.
