Meet The Author
Kim Ryan is the author and illustrator of the Elvina Wispwhistle series, a middle grade fantasy about a curious tooth fairy whose hidden manuscript begins to unravel magic across the realms. As Elvina works to set things right, she learns how belief, kindness, and the people around us shape the world in ways we do not always see.
Kim is also a classically trained mezzo-soprano, and her background in music and visual storytelling carries into the way she builds her stories. After more than twenty-five years working in corporate marketing in New York, she now combines storytelling, illustration and worldbuilding to create whimsical fantasy adventures for young readers.
She co-authored and illustrated a children’s series with her son, Landon. Elvina began with the tooth fairy stories they created together.
